Editing involves a last look at things like parts of speech and sentence and paragraph structure. Proofreading is where you focus on things like grammar, punctuation, and spelling—and on getting your story ready for the world to see.

Before you submit your final draft you need to edit and proofread your draft. 

Your teacher may have included some editing marks on your draft or you might get a parent or friend to proofread your paper.
