Learning Guides

Each unit in this course contains a Learning Guide. You complete the Learning Guide as you work through the unit. Before you write the unit test, you must hand in your Learning Guide. 

The Learning Guide is formatted as a pdf file which you must download and print. Most students will complete this by hand. If this is an issue, discuss it with your teacher. 

Here you will have a copy of all of the required terms for the unit. You will be required to answer questions, make observations, read maps, take notes and reflect on your learning. 

Each Learning Guide is marked out of 16 according to the Learning Guide rubric which you can see below.

Student has completed most of the work but a significant portion is missing

Hastily completed work that shows little or no comprehension

This assignment includes errors that interfere with meaning. It shows very little effort.

Student has submitted the assignment, but it shows little understanding and is clearly insufficient in terms of effort.

A complete, properly formatted assignment May have been hastily executed for the sake of completion rather than to achieve any understanding. May contain some basic errors, but none that interfere with meaning.

A complete, properly formatted assignment that fully meets expectations in terms of comprehension and a willingness to engage with the work being studied. Easy to read and contains few, if any, errors.
