In this unit, students are expected to learn how to do the following:

• Characterize the different time periods of Greco-Roman civilization especially regarding politics, architecture and art
• Assess the credibility of a variety of sources of information when researching language and literature developments throughout the Greek and Roman civilizations
• Explain different perspectives upon past events such as reasons for the Fall of Rome
• Assess the significance of events such as the creation of the Roman Republic
• Communicate research findings using both text and images
