Submission Instructions:

Keeping in mind this is just one lesson, and before this lesson we would have broken down each part, first characters, then setting and finally events or plot.  The main thing I would add to this would be to have the students use a program called Razz Kids. (Brown mentions his on page 144)  This enables the student to listen to the story independently and as he person is reading, the text is highlighted so the students can easily follow along.  Another option, instead of having the students use the index cards and labels for identifying the character, plot and setting would be to use the smartboard and have them drag the information to the proper place.  If I wanted to see how they were doing, I would give them each their own computer and do it individually.
