Review the criteria for the ONE project you chose. Criteria will be on a 3-point or 4-point scale:

4: Exceeds expectations, exceptionally clever and thoughtful

3: Fully meets expectations

2: Minimally meets expectations

CHOICE ONE:

Magazine Article Marking Criteria:

  • TOPIC: The topic is specific and intended to inform or convince the viewer.  /3
  • TEXT FEATURES: Includes title, headings, pictures, captions.  /4
  • GRAPHICS/IMAGES: The graphics or images relate directly to the information.  /3
  • COLOURS:  The colour choices enhance the visibility of the information. /3
  • LAYOUT: The layout has the main point at the top (heading), is organized, and makes sense. The organization allows the viewers to understand the information.  /4
  • INFORMATION: The information is accurate and purposeful. 4 point scale x2 = /8
  • CUPS: The final product has minimal errors in capitals, usage (grammar), punctuation, and spelling.  /3

CHOICE TWO:

Pamphlet Marking Criteria:

  • TOPIC: The topic is specific and intended to answer a small number of questions. /3
  • TEXT/FONTS: The text stands out against the background and is highly readable. /4
  • GRAPHICS/IMAGES: The images or graphics included relate directly to the information. /3
  • COLOURS:  The colour choices enhance the visibility of the information. /3
  • LAYOUT AND TEXT FEATURES - The layout as the main point at the top, is organized, and makes sense. The organization allows the viewers to understand the information. Uses a few text features. /4
  • INFORMATION: The information is accurate and purposeful. 4 point scale x 2 = /8
  • CUPS: The final product has minimal errors in capitals, usage (grammar), punctuation, and spelling. /3

CHOICE THREE:

Infographic Marking Criteria

  • TOPIC: The topic is specific and intended to inform or convince the viewer. /3
  • TEXT/FONTS: The text stands out against the background and is highly readable./3
  • OBJECTS/GRAPHICS/IMAGES: The objects included are repeated to support points. They relate directly to the information. /4
  • COLOURS:  The colour choices enhance the visibility of the information. /3
  • LAYOUT AND TEXT FEATURES: The layout has the main point at the top (heading), is organized, and makes sense. The organization allows the viewers to understand the information. /4
  • INFORMATION: The information is accurate and purposeful. 4 point scale x 2 = /8
  • CUPS: The final product has minimal errors in capitals, usage (grammar), punctuation, and spelling. /3
