I want to acknowledge I am of European descent. The information compiled here represents my efforts to gather and share information outlined by the BC English First Peoples 12 curriculum. I have made every effort to be respectful of protocol, be accurate, use the correct terminology, and be considerate of the many distinct Indigenous cultures you will learn about. Most of the content will be about the First Peoples of Canada, but I also try to connect the broader scope of the world's Indigenous people. I am by no means an expert on the topic of Indigenous People or have the ability to speak of their lived experiences; I am merely a curator of resources. It is my hope that by taking the time to learn about the varied cultures, we can learn to honour diversity.
