Arts Education 8/9 (Updated Feb. 2024)
Inquiry-Based Learning (Pick - or create - a "performance" category: Sketching, Painting, Dance, Music, Sculpture, Song-Writing, Musical Theatre, Costume-making, Set Design, Poetry, Architecture, Photography, Pottery, etc.)
Students are encouraged to think outside of the box in multiple artistic disciplines, not only the traditional "visual arts." There will be a visual component to every submission (photos, videos or many other presentation methods).
Students will have a marksheet titled Arts Education 8 / 9. The marksheets are shared to student's SD53 email address (same address for Teams). Bookmark the marksheet and access it to see updated progress and grade.
Submission
To hand in work, the easiest way is to take a photo or scan of your work and attach it to a blank Google or Microsoft Word "Doc." Save/export/"print" your work as a PDF. Rename the filename with your course code (AE09 for example) assignment (4.1, 1.2, etc) and full name. Teams message or email this PDF directly to your teacher.
Academic Integrity
Plagiarized work, including anything done by AI, earns an automatic zero mark and makes the student subject to further disciplinary action including potential withdrawal from the course. Such actions go on the student's permanent academic record. The simple way to avoid this problem is to actually do all of your own thinking and write your own work.
