Occasionally, a lesson may address a topic that the student and home facilitator may consider sensitive. This course includes instructional material that may lead to discussions of these topics. It is strongly recommended that the parent/guardian/home facilitator preview lessons.  If you have any concerns, please contact the teacher.

Also, this is a reminder that in schools, grade 6 students are routinely (with parent/guardian consent, of course) vaccinated. Some are boosters and some are new. Vaccinations are for:

• Chicken Pox
• Hepatitis B
• HPV
• Meningococcal C

Since you may be schooling at home (as many DL schools use this course), it is up to you (the parent/guardian), should you choose to have your child vaccinated as recommended, to contact your local health unit or doctor's office to ensure that your child is up-to-date and doesn't miss out on these vaccinations.
